Interior wall in basement

I am planning to furnish the basement and am considering how to make the interior walls, I have considered making wood walls with a cast base underneath or building up the walls with masonry, then covering them with paneling since I plane it myself. What is best? I am also thinking about installing underfloor heating.

Metal studs are good in basements. What you then cover with is determined by how humid you consider the basement to be.
