How would you handle this?
Previously installed plaster that I guess was put up in 2004. After a water leak from the vent pipe, I had to tear down the plaster. Everything else looked good.
I was thinking of plastering to do it properly in the basement, but there is an old opening in the middle, so I need to build it up.
Since there are wooden boards against the bathroom floor, it might not make any difference to do it.
Also, I'm not sure how to handle the existing door.
The alternative is to install new plaster.
