Now I know that I'm not answering the question, but isn't the simplest option to rent storage space somewhere? If you convert some space at home, what is your payback period compared to renting storage space?

Thanks! The thought crossed my mind a few months ago, but I dismissed it because it became expensive. I checked again now and found a suitable space half an hour away that holds everything I need and more, for only the cost of a newspaper subscription. I've already moved everything there!
