Hello good people...
I have just completed a house purchase and am about to take on my first project in the house. It is a single-story villa with a basement (low ceiling though) and my problem is that I want to insulate an additional room in the basement.
The room in the basement is directly under the living room and is about 35 square meters, and I think the floor gets reasonably cold. In the other rooms upstairs that have insulated rooms underneath them, this is not a problem. I don't plan to maintain 21 degrees in the basement, but something like 15 degrees so it's suitable for storage. The ceiling height of just over 180 cm makes it only suitable for storage and for me to do some carpentry work.
The walls seem to consist of lightweight concrete blocks in the basement, the floor is concrete, and the ceiling is insulated up towards the living room, of course.
How should I go about it, I should perhaps mention that the house is in Skellefteå, which means it is cold in the winters.
Help me with how to proceed practically and with material choice....
I apologize in advance if the text is vague and contains misspellings, I'm reasonably tired at the moment...
