Hello all builders!
I have an attic that needs to be insulated to build a living room and two bedrooms.
How would you handle insulation when the construction looks like this?
The house is located in central Sweden, the roof is newly laid with the following layers from the outside: concrete tiles, battens, felt, tongue and groove boards.
I understand there needs to be an air gap, how do you most easily create one with this construction and does it have to be oil-hardened masonite?
How thick does the insulation need to be in total?
What type of insulation is best?
Simply put, how would you do it!?
Best regards,
Kalle

The easiest way is probably to let the air gaps run horizontally from gable to gable. The pressure differences should be able to handle the ventilation. Attach masonite to the inside of the rafters and quite substantial air gaps will result.
