hi
I'm losing it now ...
trying to get in fence staples high up on some wobbly posts and it's not going well, I must say.
there's no counterhold up there, it just flexes away. does anyone have a good tip?
I've tried holding a sledgehammer behind the post as a counterhold, but apparently, you need 3 arms, one to hold the sledgehammer, one to hold the staple, and one to hit with the hammer.

Hold the märla with a pair of pliers (with jaws as wide as the märla) and tap it until it sticks. Use the sledgehammer behind if needed. Then continue with a hammer and sledgehammer, but once the märla is in place, only two hands are needed.

There is an old rule that says you shouldn't use your stomach at the top of wobbly poles
The polygrip is king for this! With a bit of finesse, the polygrip pulls the staple halfway in with a snap. You need to be somewhat accurate, of course.
