Hello all knowledgeable people.. I'm trying to Google how the sheet metal is installed.. There are some who first lay the paper, then the sheet metal, and then roll out the roofing felt... But in some installation instructions, it is placed directly on the battens.. Some have 2 just to cover the battens? Then we have the slightly newer version with bird strips..

There are different schools of thought on this. I think you should place it on the bottom batten partly for appearance and so that water doesn't blow between the fascia board and the gutter.

If you place the eaves flashing on the last batten, it will be slightly longer. There is no roofing felt over it, and there will be 2 bends; it should first go down towards the roof, then extend out about 30 mm over the gutter (to prevent water from going around and running down behind the gutter, as the surface tension can cause the water to round the underside of the flashing). If the flashing is placed directly under the roofing felt, it ensures a seal at the eaves (standard installation) but is positioned in the same way out towards the gutter.

Agree with the above, place it under the pappen. That's where it best serves its intended function. Bleck on the bärläkten is for aesthetic reasons and can indeed make a significant aesthetic difference depending on the roof slope, etc., but then see it as a complement to the fotplåten.

What is the intended function?

place the footplate under the roofing felt but install a strip of roofing felt for it to rest on so the raw boards don't get damaged

-Direct all water from the roof into the gutter.
-Prevent water from splashing or blowing over the back edge of the gutter.
-Prevent water from being capillary drawn under the roofing felt end.
-Protect the untreated edge of the lowest tongue and groove board.
