Install a top lock yourself if it hasn't existed before?

Hi

I would like to reinforce my front door with an extra lock.
Right now I only have a yaledoorman, but I would also like to be able to lock an additional lock or similar when I, for example, travel away.
My door is completely made of wood.
Is this possible?
Can I manage it myself?

Yes, as a normally skilled person, you can do it yourself. Precision and a sharp chisel are a virtue.
