Hi, renovating the bathroom and need to cover this lid. There will be paneling on the wall around it.

I'm wondering if there is any type of inspection hatch that can be screwed in place? (I don't really have the conditions there for "snap fasteners" that many seem to have.)

If not, I might have to cut out a panel piece and attach it with upper hinges maybe, then something to lock it in place.

Thanks in advance

Mix things up with magnets that hold a hatch. There are magnets commonly found on some cabinet doors in department stores. Hinges only tangle things up. I have exactly the same for my cleaning hatch and magnets.

Good idea. I will check that out.
