Hi! In the basement floor, there is ventilation from the outside (see image). This might be used for a kitchen fan in the future, which does not exist yet, meaning it would be for exhaust air. Air supply vents are available both in this space and other spaces. For now, I want to "plug" or seal the vent visible in the image. Diameter 100.

I've looked for covers to place over it at regular hardware stores and haven't found anything suitable—or maybe I've asked the wrong people/looked in the wrong places? I'm also looking for information on how to block the air supply—I don't want air coming in here, but through other intakes. Do you have any ideas and suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Search for ändlock and you should find them, they seem to be available at several of the usual hardware stores.

Great, that solved the issue. @Centano would you just use a coupling and/or throw in some insulation up the pipe as well?

Is it mechanical supply and exhaust air? I'm wondering a bit about how you plan to turn the supply air into exhaust air?

@Centano not mechanical, just a lattice vent to the outside including a duct in the wall. It used to be a toilet in the space where this vent is located, which was previously ventilated this way (old house, walls to the toilet are gone). The toilet has now been moved and pax installed in the new space. There are other supply air vents that are sufficient on this floor. Currently, my intention is just to plug this particular vent and not use it.
