Hello! I'm relatively new to building and renovation and I'm in the process of renovating my bathroom. It's been going great and I've removed the bathtub, mirror cabinet, etc., and I'm almost finished. But I have an ongoing problem with a furniture cabinet that was previously mounted into the tile wall. I didn't think it through and just drilled it down along with the mirror cabinet since they were mounted together, and then I discovered that the outlet that was next to the cabinet was both firmly attached to the wood panel and the cord was also run through the world's smallest drilled hole in the panel to keep it in place. I managed to detach the outlet itself, so at least that part isn't stuck anymore, but how can I access the hole so I can get the outlet out?

I've tried almost everything, sawing, drilling, and since it's half-hanging on the wall it's really awkward as well, but I've really tried and it's been three days without results and I'm going crazy. Is there a type of drill head that can get through a relatively thick piece of wood? I just need to get it out through a hole as big as it itself, and then everything will be gone. I've already gotten through the wood panel on the back (thinner plywood type). (No, it's not possible to remove the rest of the cabinet). I don't have the ability to take a picture right now:(
HELP!

It should also be added that the door on the cabinet has been removed but the rest remains, it is loose now but none of the parts move. I also can't cut anything loose as I need to use the outlet, but I'll mount it on the wall with mounting tape, no way am I doing the same antics as the previous owner. So impractical.

I'm considering buying a hole saw or cylinder drill. I'm a bit hesitant to use electric saws or the like so close to a wire.

Pictures would help :-)
But spontaneously, (at the risk of totally misunderstanding the problem), isn’t it just a matter of turning off the power and cutting the wires to the power outlet?

But off the top of my head, (at the risk of completely misunderstanding the problem), isn't it just a matter of turning off the power and cutting the wires to the socket?
That's not possible in this case, the insulation on the wires is so "high" that I can't even see where or what I should cut. Also, I would like it to come loose with the wires intact so I don't have to mess with it, I just want to get rid of the cabinet. I'll try to get home and post some pictures. But I'm thinking if there's any solution anyone can think of spontaneously that I can just pick up after work.

A sharp chisel or even a small flathead screwdriver and a bit of force should work. I don't quite understand how it looks, but I gather that you need to make a narrow opening so you can thread the cable out. If there's more space, then a Fein/Multi-tool is better.

How did it go?

Hi again, it went so-so, I tried again not to cut the cable but that's how it ended up. So the cabinet is gone but the cable and the outlet went :(
