I wonder if there is a thinner alternative to corners if you want to protect gypsum corners from impacts. I think corner profiles are too thick.

are you now talking about those profiles you spackle in or? Thinner than that is hard to get a hold of..

Define thick. The steel is a maximum of 0.5mm thick. The bulge right at the corner is slightly more but necessary to apply a millimeter of filler.

If you think it's too thick, you can make a cutout in the plaster and countersink.
