Sounds like I have to cast and set post anchors. I had hoped to avoid that. The only alternative to my 150x150 posts seems to be the giant post bases from St Eriks. But maybe that will be the easiest anyway...
Why not cast directly as Claes writes then?

It won't be that invisible? I want them a few cm above the ground …

Yes ok, hard to pour concrete above ground. Feels like too many parameters are against you for it to be implemented according to plan. Something has to be adjusted, otherwise only the posts are adjusted...

  • A sturdy stainless steel post foot with integrated bolts, resting on a concrete base, surrounded by decorative stones and a wooden deck.

The plan is to go with a 700 mm pillar with 4 inch fixed iron. I'll notch out the post so it fits. I set it a couple of cm above the pillar/ground. Not as nice as the post above but it will suffice….

Very good input in this thread! Thank you for that.
I am also planning to build a pergola with 150x150 posts and intend to cast my own footings.
Do you have tips on where I can find good adjustable post bases for this?

Appreciate all input! :)

It will be good, but it took a lot of time to notch the posts🐗😳
