Do you have any tips on how to make a somewhat worn concrete staircase look nice, durable, and above all frost-proof? I repaired the staircase two years ago - broken steps, cracks, etc., but the persistent polar cold of winter has taken a toll on the concrete.
One alternative is to lay tiles, another to apply an epoxy resin and sprinkle colored sand over it.

Do you have any comments/suggestions on this?

Thank you in advance...!

What I did that really worked was to chip away a few centimeters from all surfaces. Then build a mold and cast a new surface layer. Afterwards, the stairs were slurry-coated. It turned out great, durable and non-slip. My experience is that tiles never last in the long run. Sooner or later, water seeps in underneath and in the joints and cracks them. Same problem with epoxy.
