It might be possible to cut two pieces of suitable panel material to get the ellipse you want and screw them on each side of the wall, then fill up against the form with a suitable product. You will probably need to sand off the paint in the arch first.

That could probably work with bendable masonite board and then fill the gaps with suitable material? That's how I would do it if it was just the bend that needed to be evened out.Centano said:
