I am going to build a roof over the entrance door located on a short side. I haven't put panels on the wall yet and plan to finish the roof before paneling. I am thinking of building the roof with raw wood boards and roofing felt. I also have metal sheets that should sit in the joint between the roof and the wall. How should one handle the roofing felt and the metal sheet? First roofing felt that goes up against the wall (wall = exterior gypsum) and then the metal sheet on top of that, allowing the wall panel and battens to go over it, or should the battens (for the wall) come first and then the felt and metal sheet, or what is usually done?

:)

A picture if I explained poorly... I think the roofing felt should be first and go up on the wall and then you lay the sheet metal on top. The battens go on top of the sheet metal....?
