Hello
I have a hole in the subfloor after the air supply for a stove.

Can I just place wind barrier or something similar over the hole and then insulation on top of that, or should I also close the hole with a board?

  • Hole in subfloor with surrounding insulation, showing a gap used for airflow to a stove.
Place a disc there and you won't get visits from mice and similar critters.

The easiest way is probably to place a sheet or piece of wood in the compartment that covers the hole before you insulate.

Should I seal the joints from the crawl space and if so, with what?

  • Crawl space showing exposed insulation, a pipe, and wooden framing.
Which junctions?
And I had filled the space with insulation.

The space shall be filled with insulation. I'll take a picture from the crawl space later today but this is what it looked like before I placed the board inside. There will be a gap between the old blindbotten and the board I placed over, right?

  • Hole in green wooden panel showing exposed insulation material inside a wall.
Put something from the underside too

Thank you, I'll fix it then. I'll put a piece of board there too.
