How to construct the wall in the gable of a house with an attic?
If one plans to furnish the attic in a single-story house and therefore uses scissors trusses, what does the construction of the house's gable look like then?
Spontaneously, I think that the gable will consist of a scissors truss reinforced below with vertical studs from the bottom of the truss down to the wall plate. Is that correct thinking or how is it done?

One can do that, but it is more common to just build a partition wall all the way up to the roof sheathing.
The truss can be an unnecessarily expensive way to build a wall since a truss with posts underneath doesn't serve any function as a truss...

Ok, that sounds smoother. So you simply skip trusses on both gables, and the first trusses come 60cm in from the gable on both sides?Ingenjören said:

Yes, or more commonly 1200mm if the snow load is not so high that you can't manage the traditional roof truss spacing.
If you have a wide house with a steep roof pitch, other solutions may be required because the gable height can become higher than the available timber beam lengths...
