Hi, I need advice on how the wardrobe should be clad against a drywall we have put up instead of a door. The drywall is attached to wooden studs (45x70), but to be able to install a clothes rail or shelves "inside" the wardrobe, a drywall alone is not enough, right? I've seen there are plywood, mdf, and osb or whatever it's called. Which material is recommended? Do I attach to the wooden studs?

On the "outside" of the drywall, I will hang a picture at most, and I think a simple drywall is enough.

The rest of the wardrobe's walls are white-painted aerated concrete.

See the Word file with a sketch of the wardrobe from above.

Best regards,
Beginner

Actually, the best option would be if you placed a piece of regel horizontally where you are going to place the clothing rod, of course, it's also possible to put an osb/plywood board behind the plasterboard, it would be more than strong enough.

Hi, I have three horizontal pieces of lumber as well but I would like it to look nice besides being durable.

You install plasterboard in all cases to have a paintable surface, and if there are studs where the rod and possible shelves should be placed, you don't need an additional board.

Ok I'll try that! Thanks for the answer!
