Hey, I'm just getting started with renovating some rooms in my house (lightweight concrete). There are some cracks in the lightweight concrete that are visible through the wallpaper and so on. I'm planning to put plasterboard on top of this to get a new surface to start from. How should I then attach the boards to the walls? It doesn't feel like I have the energy to tear down all the old wallpaper and then glue the boards to the concrete. Has anyone tried applying some beads of adhesive on the board and then screwing/nailing? What kind of nails/screws should I use if so?

If you're going to screw, then a spikläkt (yes yes, it should be screwed in after all) is a simple solution to avoid drilling too much in the concrete, and at the same time, you can sneak in the electrical outlets/sockets you lack.
There are plug types in 100 different varieties, so just go with what seems good.

Have aerated concrete in an extension part that I replastered 8 years ago.
Sawed 15cm strips in plywood which I nailed with clip nails that I then screwed the plasterboards into.
Also add extra strips above and below windows and floor/ceiling if you want the option to screw/nail moldings after you've installed plaster.

I glued, directly onto the old wallpaper, the filler where we removed the wall and the painted wall in the former toilet. Screwed in a few screws in the joints where the wall was bulging a bit, used fischer plugs, lightweight concrete is so porous that it's hard to get screws to hold without plugs.
