How to anchor the house?

Currently building a house on piers. In the picture, the piers are anchored to the thick laminated beam, but how do I best anchor the wall sill to the laminated beam? I've added a couple of metal plates but am wondering if it will be too rigid given that the wood moves with the seasons. Does anyone know if this works or how it should be done?

I am building a house on pillars. In the picture, the pillars are anchored to the thick glulam beam, but how do I best anchor the wall sill to the glulam beam? I have put on a couple of nail plates but I'm wondering if it will be too rigid given that the wood moves with the seasons. Does anyone know if this works or how to do it?

What you have in mind will work well, but it would probably suffice with construction screws that you angle screw with...
But continue with the nail plates!
