Hello!

Newly renovated bathroom, a little finishing touch left. We have built in the water heater in an Ikea METOD frame against a corner.

I was thinking of tidying up the side of the frame facing the room by installing paneling and simultaneously building a door for the cabinet from the same panel, but I need tips on how to proceed.

How should I attach the paneling? Nail? Screw? Glue? Both?

The module is made of particleboard with a melamine foil surface.

Best regards,
Noel

Since the core is made of particleboard/MDF and it is not very resistant to moisture, I would not want to make holes in the melamine, which is a dense layer. I would have glued with some form of construction adhesive (PL400/Tec7/etc)

I glued on panel, beadboard.
Glued with PL200 which is more elastic than PL400. Sticks like a rock!

Smart thinking, thanks!

Great, I'll glue it then! Sounds better with something a bit more elastic in a humid environment.
