I have chosen to install drywall in a small basement room. The walls in the room made the work a bit more demanding when I cut the boards. They didn't turn out completely neat. Now there are some gaps and uneven parts. What would be the smartest way to tidy up these irregularities? Smaller pieces of drywall? Plaster? Plastic joints? Acrylic mass?

  • Cracked drywall edge with gaps along an uneven connection to a rough concrete floor in a basement room.
  • Uneven drywall edge with gaps and rough patches in a basement room, showing plaster board and underlying materials.
  • Uneven gypsum board installation in a basement room with a visible gap and rough edges, secured by a chain.
Learn to live with the appearance or redo and make it right.
In a basement where no one should live, you can practice plastering; before you take on the next surface, it's probably good if you read up or watch some instructional video.

Saw a clip as recently as yesterday where they used foam sealant to fill with.
