How much does it cost? Partition wall
Hello!
I'm planning to convert a small closet into a smaller playroom for my son. The closet shares a wall with the bedroom. I want to modify the wall to be half wall and half industrial glass at the top to let in light.
Do I need to tear down the whole wall, or can I keep half and add the industrial glass?
What do you think? Price for a carpenter?

Then I cannot answer whether it will be a sufficiently stable wall if you only remove half of it, or even if it will be cheaper than tearing down the entire wall and then framing a new one.
I am doubtful if it's possible to have only industrial glass with just light frames on top of a heavier wall that is not anchored to the ceiling. Ordinary walls are usually screwed into the walls and ceiling. However, it is possible to have window panes between the standing studs.

Hi! Ok. Just found out that it is concrete and not lightweight concrete. Is it better then? Or does the same problem remain? Do you have any knowledge of how one could do it?BirgitS said:
