Hello,
I'm in the process of renovating the bedroom and noticed that the screws for the drywall didn't hold in the wall behind. I removed the woven wallpaper on the wall and saw that half the wall (to the left of my finger) is concrete and the remaining part (to the right of my finger) is old drywall and wood paneling. How do I get the drywall to bind/attach to the concrete wall?

  • A partially renovated wall showing a division between concrete on the left and drywall with wood paneling on the right. A finger points to the seam.
  • Close-up of a wall showing a removed area of woven wallpaper, revealing a mix of concrete and drywall, indicating issues with screw grip in renovation.

With PL400? Will it hold a whole 12mm drywall sheet in the long run?

Yes, I would imagine so, alternatively you could set up 45*45 and frame a wall.

Assembly glue works fine, otherwise, tile adhesive works fine too.

Okay, any specific adhesive you recommend? Then is it just a matter of spreading it over the entire plasterboard and pressing it up? :)
