Check.

On one side there are of course problems, on the other side it goes well.

Exactly... but funnily enough, it's almost always on the side that needs to be cut off... :x

...it feels like that anyway...

Oki, now I understand, thanks for the help.
Since we're on this topic ... what's the difference between a laminate blade and ... universal?

I will cut a hole for the hob in a laminate countertop, what speed should I use on the jigsaw blade for the best result? I can adjust the speed on my Makita jigsaw from 1-6 and also set the pendulum function at different levels.

If you use a jigsaw, you can run it at full speed but let the machine work its way forward slowly. However, you should use "reverse" blades where the teeth point downward to reduce splintering.

Personally, I always use a plunge saw.

I always use a plunge saw myself.
Bought Bosch blades for laminate. The teeth appeared to be completely straight without an angle.

I bought these with straight teeth. I assume it doesn't matter which side I saw on then?

Ok... I've actually never tried.

I just know that with teeth pointing downward you can saw from the top, but with teeth pointing upward, which is the most common, you should saw from the back to minimize splintering.

I've been using those Bosch blades and they work well, run without the pendulum function.
