How do I attach railing posts in the best way

As the headline reads...how do I do it.

Some background:
I currently have a balcony, which also functions as a roof over the entrance, about 6x3 m. I have laid down felt and also plan to lay down pressure-treated decking. I have also installed an "under-ceiling" with spotlights in it.

Now it's time for the railing. How do I best attach the railing posts to the floor? I've thought about post shoes but would prefer to avoid as many screw holes in the floor as possible to reduce the risk of water seeping in. Or is there a silicone sealant that can be used to still use post shoes?
Can you only attach the end posts to the house and let the rest just rest on the floor?

No matter how I think about it, I can't avoid screwing into the floor.

Updating a bit with a sketch I made of my railing so perhaps one can better understand how it will look and the effects of potentially screwing post bases down through the felt and raw pine. What kind of sealing compound would I need in the screw holes, or is there an alternative way to mount it?

Post shoe, ridge sealing...... no hassle, the ridge compound keeps the rain away! (black goo in a jar or tube)
