How deep can you mill with a router
Need to insert a rule longitudinally into a framework. The rule is 145x45 and goes 45 mm into each rule.
Is there a router bit that can handle this?
I saw that most bits are around 20 mm deep.
I have an older DeWalt machine with only small bits.

It's probably simpler and faster with a regular hand circular saw.4 4you said:
Agree that some form of saw is probably significantly easier. Attach some form of rail or other straight object and run the saw against it on the two outer cuts you need, then you can probably freehand what's in between. You don't need to remove everything but just make a lot of cuts, then insert a wide screwdriver in the middle and twist, and you can probably get most of it out. What's left you can take with a chisel or plane.
There are also long router bits, for example, https://www.tooltrust.se/shop/produ...s12?tm=webshop&sm=for-overhandsfras/notfrasar

If you want to be "quick" you might screw a rule and use it as support for the circular saw...
Then a chisel, or just break off the piece with a strong polygrip or pipe wrench...

Thank you for all the suggestions. Apparently, there is no information on whether there is milling steel for this purpose. (Depth 45mm) In a couple of weeks, about 120 more beams will be cut on the ground this time. My plan then is to use a milling steel in combination with a machine circular saw. I thought about joining fourteen beams with glue joints and milling away at the corner. (all this to reinforce the roof plate)
