Planning to attach a hose reel to the facade of the house, which is made of Mexitegel. The brick wall is separate from the framework as there is an air gap between them. Will the brick be able to support a heavy hose reel mounted in the middle of the wall, especially relatively close to a window, or is there a risk that the entire wall will collapse?

EDIT: Of course, everything is relative, so "heavy hose reel" can mean all sorts of things. I might think twice before putting up some monster for 50 meters of 1" hose.
According to those I've spoken with, it is (I have a house with Mexitegel facade myself). And if you think about it, it seems unreasonable that a single layer of brick (of a type that notoriously has poor adhesion to the mortar) would stand unsupported 2-3m high.T Tacobob said:
