Horizontal beadboard interior wall, tips?

Maybe make an accent wall at home out of beadboard or something that looks like beadboard, wood, or MDF.

I don't want a rough surface; it should be smooth and fine. I saw online that there are MDF variants, but do these come in "whole pieces" or is it board by board? For it to look nice with distributed seams, it has to be board by board.

(I have to glue it onto a wide-spackled plaster wall; I don't think I have space to frame it)

All tips are welcome.

We installed some pre-painted tongue and groove boards on the ceiling.
Siljan trä has it in their range.

It should definitely be possible to mount it on the wall.
