I have hired painters to plaster and install microlit on a previously lowered ceiling. Around the radiator pipes that go between the floors, there is now a large hole. How can this be best sealed? The painter suggests it will be difficult to fill the back between the pipes and the wall, and that condensation may form. I argue that there is no risk as the pipes contain hot water. How can this be sealed in the best and most aesthetically pleasing way? I don't want an ugly hole around it, which also makes it noisier with the neighbor.

  • Ceiling corner with two pipes running vertically, surrounded by plastered walls. Visible gap around pipes potentially needing sealing for aesthetics.
Patch as best as possible and possibly use a couple of cover plates if the desired finish is not achieved.

Perhaps complete with Byggfog after the spackling?

Two rusty, white-painted pipes protruding from a cracked concrete ceiling with visible wear and holes. Rusty metal pipes protruding through a concrete ceiling, showing signs of corrosion and potential leakage issues.

How is this best and most neatly sealed? I don't want an ugly hole around it, which also makes it noisier with the neighbor.
