I'm planning to make holes for my monitors so I can route cables through the wall and then a hole under the desk. But now I see that it's gypsum board and "styrofoam" insulation. If it had just been regular wool insulation, it would have been easier to route the cables through. What can you do to get the cables through if you don't want to re-gypsum?
Do you want the screens to be inside the wall, or do you mean that the cables, power and DP/HDMI, should go through the wall?
Now you've already cut, but wouldn't it have been easier with an external cable channel, then you would just make a hole in the board. Alternatively, a hole in the board covered with a cap that allows cables through.
Assuming you're going to have the computer under the table?

Yes exactly, want the power/DP cables inside the wall. I prefer not to have any visible cables or cable channels. But I'll probably have to live with a cable channel or cut out a piece of drywall and re-drywall, but it feels very troublesome as I've just put up the wallpaper.W Wip3 said:Do you want the screens to be inside the wall, or do you mean that the cables, power, and DP/HDMI should go in the wall?

Yes, it's easy to be wise after the event, but you should have thought of this beforehand
I actually don't know how you can make a hole in the styrofoam between the 2 holes?
Like a narrow stick/rod that you push down to the other hole? A bit hard to explain.
Otherwise, remove the wallpaper where the holes are and open up for the cables and then re-wallpaper.
I understand what you're after but doing it afterwards complicates it a bit.

Exactly. I was thinking of a hanger that you unfold and poke through with. But it's going to take a hell of a lot of time. I assumed it was bare behind the gypsum and framed with 60cc. Some insulation wool of course. but this "frigolit" came as a surprise.W Wip3 said:Yes, it's easy to be wise after the event, but this is something you should have thought about beforehand

Cut a channel all the way down. Place renovation plasterboard (to save depth on the channel) level with the existing plaster, apply filler and add a new wallpaper strip. That's probably the simplest thing you can do.

Yes, exactly. The question is whether you dare to touch the wallpaper, the wife is responsible for the painting and wallpapering 😅pacman42 said:
