I am going to build a rabbit hutch and need some advice regarding the placement of the door hinges. I have purchased hinges that don't require countersinking and plan to place them on the inside. One side of the hinge must be attached to the "cross-section" of the wooden panel, and the catch is that it's a 12mm thick plywood panel. My question is whether you knowledgeable wood connoisseurs out there think this will hold, or if you recommend a different solution such as changing the type of wood, placing the hinges on the outside (I want to avoid this for aesthetic reasons), or something entirely different?

Door size is about 44*55 cm, but it's more like a frame since most of it is covered by a chicken wire window.
