How to repair hinge holes kitchen cabinet

Hello! See image. How do you best put the doors back on again?
Tried with matchsticks in the hole but it didn't work, so need to do something more substantial.

Glue a plug in place, drill a new hole?

Tried with matches in the hole but it didn't work, so I need to do something more solid

If you glue the matches in place with wood glue, it should work. This could be an option if you don't have access to a plug of the right size.

Then you need to drill new holes in exactly the right position and with exactly the right diameter to fit the hinges. You have to be precise when measuring and when drilling.

You only need to fill the hole with superglue, then you can screw them back in.
