I'm having some trouble figuring out how to solve the stairs up to the entrance at home. Today it looks like this, but it's rotten and needs to be replaced, and I thought I'd take the opportunity to build a small diagonal stair set to the left. Not very big at all, just about half a meter out.

Wooden porch steps leading to a house entrance, surrounded by greenery, showing signs of wear and needing replacement.

How do you usually attach the stringer in such a situation? Do I just cut the back edge of the stringer so that I can mount it at an angle, or how can I easily achieve this even though I have a flat surface to start from?

I imagine I need three stringers. The one on the right is attached just like today, and the other two I cut so that they have a little angle?

This is roughly what I'm thinking, it's a bad picture but just to give you an idea of what I mean.

There are usually very good ideas here on the forum, so I'm giving it a try :)
