The wife has bought new ceiling lamps weighing 9kg each.
There are no joists where they are supposed to go. It’s a gypsum ceiling, and I think there's some kind of hardboard or similar a bit further up.
I've put up a big hook, and the lamp is holding for now. But it doesn't feel very secure.
Any tips?
How much can you expect gypsum, or gypsum + hardboard, to support?
Any good plugs to use instead of my big hook?
