I am going to hang a 140mm HEA beam parallel directly under a 115x495 glulam beam.
Between the HEA and the glulam are the tie beams of the trusses at 220mm.

Anyone have a clever solution on what fittings, etc., for fastening/hanging the HEA to the glulam beam could look like?

Drilled holes through the glue-laminated beam (long wood drill), then drilled holes also in the HEA beam (so the holes are aligned),,,, Then threaded rod, heavy washer, and nut so you can adjust as you like regarding the distance between the glue-laminated beam & HEA beam.
Otherwise, you can ask a welding company to make rectangular steel brackets, which you secure from underneath the glue-laminated beam and place the HEA beam in the steel bracket... Maybe a small weld to hold it in place.
