Buying construction materials abroad
I have been searching for windows and doors around the Baltic Sea. Doors have been difficult to find, so I've bought them from Sweden. I was looking for a regular white door with panels.Ewald said:

But almost all the doors I've found have been hyper-designed things that are impossibly ugly.
I got a really good quote on about 25 windows and a glass section with sliding doors.
Veka alphaline v90+ from a Polish company.
Ex.
4 pcs 15Mx13M
Uw 0.74 (EU calculation)
11,400 SEK

JULA is partly much cheaper than German/Austrian hardware stores when it comes to selected tools/gadgets.
I bought a Meec pole saw for 399 SEK (regular price: 999 SEK) at JULA in Halmstad. I think that's a very good price! JULA always has some special offer when I'm in Sweden
. And always just the things I need. In July, for example, it was a ground mailbox...

It's heavy and bulky, so I find it hard to see that it would be profitable unless it's larger quantities or a special type of wood.
Regarding doors, I had email contact with a Polish company that referred me to their dealer in Sweden - Ekstrands. But now I have been in contact with Harmoni doors outside Västerås, which seems to have good prices. It's basically the same as Diplomat, but cheaper.
I ordered two exterior doors 9x20 of this kind http://harmonidorrar.se/product/127-lottorp.html where the price was 2996 SEK. I plan to use them for the heated storage room.
Waiting for an offer on interior doors and more exterior doors.
http://harmonidorrar.se/product/11-almhult-3-spegel.html looks roughly like what you are looking for KjellT.

I finally found doors locally at good prices.
However, we don't like molded doors as they feel too light. The same supplier's Fagerhult series is the type we've found and ordered locally for 1490:- (9/21) and 1790:- (10/21), frames are additional at 590:- (118mm)

Solar panels .... hmm ... not dealing much with solar panels right now ... just when it comes to assessments of profitability ... if solar panels are worth it .... have a small "off-grid" setup at home in the garage. Have had it to test a bit etc. ....

We are considering purchasing from abroad (Poland, Latvia, Estonia etc.) but our main interest is Poland. The plan is to find a good supplier that sells Reinforcement Steel in material K500C-T. But the question is, is there even a supplier that sells reinforcement steel in K500C-T or equivalent material?
Or do we have any Swedish company that handles such matters, i.e., orders for domestic companies with specific requests? Additionally, we will be purchasing a lot of kitchen material as well, basically everything for the foundation.
If you have anything to share, I would be very grateful to check it out before I travel down there to investigate.
Thank you for the response.

Anyone who can provide an overview of how it looks nowadays with prices in, for example, Poland? Ikea is terribly much cheaper, but how is it with tiles, bathroom articles, is there any other Polish company that manufactures/sells kitchens that are even cheaper than Ikea? And with better quality :/
A friend got a more expensive cost proposal for an HTH in Poland than in Sweden based on the same drawing.. :/ the krona is not exactly favorable in this situation..MiniMii said:
