Hello

I've covered a door in the basement with drywall and now need to apply suitable material. The rest of the basement has concrete walls. Should I use concrete or plaster, or some kind of combo mix?

I've attached chicken wire to the door; any other tips to make it stick?
Basement wall with a door covered in chicken wire, surrounded by concrete walls. Tools visible on the floor. Question about applying concrete or plaster.

Why didn't you use bricks instead, it must be easier, plastering on drywall doesn't sound good, I've never tried it.

My carpenters put it up, masonry would probably have been better... but what can be done now to solve it best? Thanks for the reply.

How many mm need to be puttied to level with the other walls?

1cm approximately

Then I would either fill with plaster compound, or remove the mesh and glue/screw on renovation gypsum.
Then fill and tape the joints with regular sand filler.
