I am going to put up drywall on an existing wall. Two walls are concrete and one is light concrete. The walls are a bit uneven, so I was thinking of gluing the drywall before I screw (?) them in place. There are a total of seven drywall sheets. What type of glue should be used? I was advised to use some form of construction adhesive, I think, but I am quite unsure, it's quite a jungle.

Why do you want to put up drywall on the walls?

Because there are some irregularities after tearing down a wall. I'm not really keen on the alternative of applying a full layer of filler.

If the walls are uneven, the plasterboards will crack.

Frame up and fasten them

No, they are not that uneven. It's really only two places that are ugly, and that's where we have torn down a previous wall.

If the irregularities you have on existing walls consist of valleys, not peaks, then your idea to glue up drywall might work. Any "goo" in a tube should work, buy the cheapest you can find at places like Biltema/Jula and apply generously....

But if it's only in a few spots, I don't understand why you don't just fill and sand instead.

It was a carpenter who recommended I do this. But there is quite a bit of sanding to do before you can fill.
