Hello!

I have a relatively ugly and worn concrete staircase that is covered with some kind of tile or clinker and I would like to spruce it up by cladding it in wood.

To make things easier for myself and since I don't know how the tile/clinker/whatever-it-is will react to drilling, I'm wondering if it would work to just glue the wood directly onto the old staircase?

And which glue do you recommend in that case?

It is probably possible to build in the staircase, but you may have to build a standalone construction. Gluing wood outdoors (I guess?) to concrete sounds like a problem ...
