I need to move a glulam post that supports an IPE 220 steel beam located in the attic, which supports the upper part of the truss; it also seems to rest on the frame underneath.
I'm thinking of placing the same size glulam on both sides of the one that is there today, 300x78, and I need help sizing the beam that will take the load from the old one to the new ones. The maximum distance between the two new ones will be 2200.
Is there anyone here who can help me?
