Planning to make a staircase trellis in oak with the dimensions 21x69. However, I want it thicker than 21 mm at one end. There is 45x69 available, but it costs 50% more per cubic meter and the minimum length is 6 meters. It doesn’t feel appealing to have "spill" for 1500 kronor under the roof in the garage, so I thought about gluing together a post from two 21x69 pieces. PU glue, support battens on both sides, and many clamps are a good start. Is there anyone with personal experience and tips?
