It pulls in quite a bit of snow so how much space underneath are you planning to have? I cast a slab myself and put a coarse ribbed mat on it. I just pull the mat out when it needs to be emptied. Works great.
There will be plenty of air underneath, so it shouldn't be a problem.
It ended up being 28*70 on 145 in cc 60. About 1.5cm gap between the floorboards. Sturdy enough.

I think that will hold up well. However, I think you might have some trouble with the snow getting through at 1.5 cm, please report back on how it goes during the season.

Yes, it's possible. I'll set up a piassava to handle what doesn't go through. Not long until snow, so a report will come!

I have a denser floor than you do, and I have to use piassava. It works fine except for the ice that forms from the cooling, which I would gladly do without.
The doors have finally been put in place, as well as the handle on the little door and some much-needed oil on it too. Tomorrow there might be ramp construction. It would be nice to drive it in before the snow starts in earnest.
