I have a stone staircase in the garden because it's a bit hilly. I've noticed there are cracks here and there (the staircase is ~50 years old). How can you fix the staircase so it looks like new??... sure, you can use light concrete right where the cracks are but it will still stand out... if you understand??... anyone have a tip??

hmm I seem to remember that a few years ago I used something called heydi or similar to fix an ugly staircase... it was kind of like painting with plaster, if you know what I mean. Bought at a regular hardware store or maybe it was OBS
Feel free to take a photo of the stairs, it makes it easier to understand the problem, and maybe even come up with a solution!
Does it concern a staircase entirely made of stone in the garden? Why should it then look like new? There is a charm in things that have aged and thereby gained a patina, it's something that can't be bought for money! Consider the whole: is the house also about 50 years old? Is it in new condition, is the style contemporary/modern? Let things match, and you will achieve aesthetic harmony.
But as was written earlier: please give us some pictures so it's easier to understand and give advice.

Ronnie

it's difficult to take pictures... there's still some snow up here in the north
. Sure, the house is old, but I'm in the process of renovating it as well. There are cracks here and there, and if I'm going to fix it, it would be desirable to "smooth coat" or whatever you do so the entire staircase has the same shade. It is located on the property because there is a level difference of ~1 meter... and it's about 2 meters wide... with a rise on each side......
