Hello, the repair material will be something like HusFix but cheaper, and the principle will be the same. My question is how I should prepare the surface before application. Normally, the surface should be dampened with water, but even if you do that, perhaps something else should be done beforehand.

I saw a guy who took a spray can with paint and sprayed all the areas he was going to repair. The paint binds the material and makes the surface less porous. Is that good or bad? A spray can with white paint isn't exactly an economic downfall to acquire...

I have never done anything other than vacuum with the garage vacuum cleaner so loose plaster/dust is gone then I have repaired.

Now I have never tried it myself, but a strong gut feeling tells me that plaster on paint adheres worse than plaster on bare plaster.

Read now that you could prime and apply Maxit naturgips...is it better than Husfix I wonder?

Just like Jan-Å, I have never done anything special except for vacuuming the hole thoroughly before applying husfix.

Have never tried Husfix so I will not comment on that. I usually repair with plaster and mortar. These bags are 25 kg and way too much for a few holes. The most important thing is that it's clean. Watering a bit when repairing with mortar is part of the process. Regarding the Husfix, it probably says on the package if it needs pre-watering.

also works with ardex 828 from what I've heard, can anyone disassemble?
