Thank you for all the responses!

Can anyone provide an approximate cost for making a hole in the wall, assuming it is brick/concrete but not load-bearing?

Now I've received a first quote. 4000 SEK just to make the door opening. Is it reasonable?

As several have already pointed out, it depends on the material of the wall. If it is concrete, it can take several hours to saw out. If it is lättklinker, which is more likely, it only takes a few minutes. Does more than just the actual hole cutting include? Frame? flooring/threshold? Patching of any damage to the wall? Protective covering and removal of the removed wall material can probably be assumed to be included.

It is concrete/brick equivalent, i.e., not wood/plasterboard. It is just about a hole and tidying up the edges, no advanced framing or other modifications. According to the craftsman, it was just a day's work...

How large will the bedroom with the window be? There are accordion-style sliding doors that are mounted in the frame, work quite well.
