Hello. Bought some square meters of Moelven's ceiling "regina" to install in the closet. It says in the instructions that it should be fastened with either 1: screw 4.2x35, 2: nail 1.7x35, 3: staple 10x35, every 150mm.
I have a brad nailer lying around somewhere and 30-35mm brads.
Do you think I can fasten it with them? The "nail heads" are not very big. I can shoot them closer together.
Does anyone have experience with this??

If the roof is flat, it should suffice to fasten it with the brad nailer; if you're unsure, you can always glue it with construction adhesive to the old roof as well. Machine brads hold better than one might think.

I have installed quite a few ceilings with an 18g gun, it holds much stronger than you would think.

I used a staple(nail gun)
Much easier and there were no "craters" from the screw....

Both 16g and 18g work excellently for ceiling panels. I have used cc60 on nailing battens and drive two nails in each. It's possible to nail them hidden as well, but it's a bit more fiddly and honestly completely unnecessary.

So it is about white MDF boards 8x30x120 so we don't misunderstand each other here..

Then I probably would have used a screw or staple gun. But 18g might work.

Thread lift:
Do you shoot crooked through the spring (hidden) when you've used 18g and length, 50 mm? Preferably don't want anything to be visible. Considering putting beadboard on the ceiling in the cottage.
