I want to fill a bunch of aluminum tubes with concrete. The tubes are about 25mm in diameter and maybe half a meter long. Is there anything specific I should keep in mind? What's the easiest way to do it? I don't have a mixer, but maybe it can be done with Finja's "Gjuta Enkelt," which doesn't need mixing?

What are you going to use the filled tubes for? Use fine concrete that you mix a bit loosely and a funnel to pour it in. Tap the tubes a little after you have filled them, so the air bubbles disappear. You can mix the fine concrete in a bucket.

How many such tubes were you planning to have? If I calculate correctly, each tube holds about 0.25 dl, which means the concrete in them will weigh just under 0.6 kg. It will take "a few" if the hose is to be held in place...

Buy extra PEM pipes and cut them into pieces and fill them with concrete. It should be cheaper than aluminum pipes.
Or cut casting molds in cardboard into appropriately sized pucks and cast a stainless steel eyelet in them. They can probably be bought at boat stores.

I received a friendly reminder that I calculated correctly but wrote the wrong unit... it should be 0.25 liters. The weight is correct since it was a writing error (concrete weighs about 2.2-2.3 kg/liter).bygga_bo said:
I agree with Peter2400. It's easier to get ready-made stones than to cast yourself, especially in this case when the shape of the anchor doesn't really matter. The price difference isn't likely to be significant either since there are stones/blocks with a price per kilo that is close to what concrete in a bag costs.
However, a bunch of stainless steel eyes may cost a bit, and then you'll also need to fixate the hose in the eye somehow. A spontaneous thought is to get concrete hollow blocks (so you don't have to drill) and attach the hose with, for example, cable ties to it. There are long and sturdy cable ties that are weather-resistant (non-metallic locking tongue that doesn't rust). Make a loosely fitting loop with the cable tie to minimize "wear stress" - the hose is likely to stay down anyway.
