Facade scaffolding = crazy expensive!?

When I repainted my summer house (2 floors) I used Step-on scaffolding:

It's good for painting, scraping paint, and even performing (minor) façade renovations from a step-on. Felt surprisingly stable.

Scaffolding - weaklings

I have painted my house (split-level:eek twice with a ladder, and then I brush-painted about 3-4 boards from top to bottom before moving the ladder and continuing with the next, and I painted twice with a day's interval between. Future house (single-story) I plan to paint before nailing up the paneling

Now, a good number of years later, I primed the boards on the ground before nailing them up, and I am the owner of a scaffolding unit with four 3-meter platforms.
